I think it checks to see if the post_parent id is 0 which isn’t allowed in WordPress The $post->post_parent is allowed to be 0. If the value is 0, it simply means that the page is a top level page. A page that has a $post->post_parent other than 0, is a child of another page.

How to update post parent? - WordPress Development Stack ...

    https://wordpress.stackexchange.com/questions/79934/how-to-update-post-parent

For me it's doesn't work even if i use a string or an array. It was working in the past and I only noticed the issue after upgrading to Wordpress 4.7.2.

Getting FB fan page post not work on live mode WordPress.org

If not, you need to review the app approval for specific permissions to work. After submitting the review application, Facebook will verify the app and allow it to request in live mode. Otherwise, it will only work in the dev mode. As the dev mode needs no permissions verification from Facebook.
